Needing a place to grab lunch on our way to our rented cabin in the woods of Kentucky, my wife and I stopped by one of the Bluegrass Brewing Company locations in the Louisville area. The interior was spacious, divided into bar, booth and tables dining area and a beer garden, with windows into the brewing area to watch the hard-at-work brewers.

We ordered a flight that sampled all five of the house standards and two seasonal brews. All were excellent, from the alt bier to the C-Spot IPA, unsurprisingly my favorite.

Our waiter was friendly and helpful, explaining how the beers got their names and giving some tips for the camping area we were headed to. Since it was mid-day on a Thursday, business was a little slow, but it looked like a great place to spend a Saturday night if you’re in the area.
